Dear Expectant Family - We are writing to you with excitement, a little nervousness, and a lot of compassion for you. If you’re reading this, we believe it means that our paths have been guided to cross one another for a reason. We hope the reason is to entrust your child with us to guide and love through his or her life. We can only imagine how difficult a decision the choice of adoption may be for you. We are honored and tremendously grateful that you are taking time to learn about us. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!

We are fulfilling our life's work to serve others as a trained lawyer and doctor. We also have always wanted to be parents. We have decided the time is right. We can provide a child with an amazing life – the best schools, a beautiful home, travel around the world, and most importantly, love. What makes us unique is that we can instill in a child the mindset necessary to succeed in life – hope, faith, wisdom, and perseverance. Our values and principals enabled us to endure through humble beginnings and have kept us level-headed during prosperity. We know these values will build a happy and solid foundation for a child.

Holiday fun with friends adds special meaning to the season
We look forward to becoming parents one day. Our families and friends couldn't be more excited. Dawanna's father, stepmother, 3 sisters and brother spend a lot of time together. Dawanna's family is huge. Her Mother was 1 of 6, her Dad is 1 of 10 and her maternal Grandmother is 1 of 14. She has 27 aunts and uncles and a whole lot of cousins. Raymond has a much smaller family. Ray and his mother are very close. She lives in Westchester County. That enables Raymond and Dawanna to see her weekly.
We have some special friends who look forward to our new family. Thinking of our Girlfriend Mommies and Guyfriend Daddies – these friends have been our rocks for many years. They have children who are like our Godchildren. We have a University crew and a spattering of other special people around us. Most of them have kids and they are not short on advice, love or time.

What's special about Raymond and Dawanna? Adoption is a natural extension of our giving hearts, Raymond spends time on medical missions providing free operations and care to people in need around the world when he is not being a surgeon at his hospital. Dawanna is a member of community and non-profit organizations that support those in need. What we realized was there are many different paths to being a family! We feel so blessed to have realized our professional dreams, which allows us to give to others, and to know that we are secure and ready to welcome a baby into our life.
We live in a beautiful neighborhood with great neighbors and it is very secure. We both enjoy nature and going out for a run in the park. Our friends and family consistently visit and we will spend time cooking, curling up on the living room sofas, and enjoying each other while the kids play together. Dawanna finds herself spending precious time with her Grandma or reading a great book with her bookclub. Raymond takes him mom to dinner every weekend and loves to play music while dancing as if nobody's watching around the house.
Although we know the adoption process may not always be easy, we feel in our hearts that there is a gift in this for all of us. We promise you that we want to go on this journey with you, with our shared love for your child as what keeps up moving forward. Also, we promise to love your child unconditionally. He or she will be give every opportunity to learn and grow, and to follow his or her or their dreams. And we will be there every step of the way, supportive through all of life's highs and lows and helping every step of the way.
While we will both be very active and involved in this child's life, we thought you might want to know that Dawanna works from home. She will be able to spend extra bonding time together. Her village of stay-at-home parents will be a source of endless playdates. Our family will also be very involved. Everyone is so supportive and excited to welcome a baby into our lives! We are grateful to you for considering us.
