What we want you to know...

We hope you feel supported in this journey.

What we want you to know...
Dinner Date
Dear Expectant Parents,
We want to thank you for taking the time to learn about our family. We are very excited to learn about you too and build a relationship in whatever way you are comfortable. We cannot imagine how difficult of a decision this is to make and we want you to know how brave you are. We hope you feel supported in this journey.
We would be forever grateful and honored if you choose us to be your child’s parents. We will give your child a loving, safe, understanding, and supportive home. We promise to raise your child surrounded by loving and positive people that will help us shape them into the best person they can be. We promise to ensure your child will grow up knowing that you put them first and made such a loving and courageous decision. We promise to support and guide your child to be true to themselves always and love them unconditionally.

About our life...
We are Kevin and Taylor-Renee. We have been together for 11 years and married for almost 6 years. We both are out-going, compassionate and love to make others laugh. We met on a blind date and bonded over our love for 90’s country music, The Beatles, and animals. We have been avid volunteers at animal rescues and have been fosters to a variety of pets over the years. Taylor-Renee has worked with children in many different aspects over the years and currently works at a supervised visitation and mediation center. Kevin works locally for the railroad and he also coaches bowling. We enjoy many of the simple things in life like being goofy together, jamming out to music in our pajamas, day trips and taking nature walks.

Our Home
We live in a 3 bedroom ranch home in Taylor-Renee’s hometown in the south suburbs of Chicago. Our home is Taylor-Renee’s grandparent’s former home, so the house has seen a lot of love and children in her family grow up over the years. We cannot wait to continue this tradition. Our neighborhood is relatively quiet, in a good school district, and also has great private schools nearby. We have awesome neighbors and everyone on our block looks out for each other. Our community is very family friendly and has plenty to do. Even though our town is growing, it still has plenty of small-town charm.

Our extended family
We are very lucky to have such strong and supportive family and friends. Nearly all of both sides of our immediate and extended families live within 45 minutes of our home. Much of Taylor-Renee’s family lives in our same town and has for many generations. We are fortunate to have very strong family and community ties, which we feel will be so helpful for starting a family, as we are firm believers in “it takes a village” to raise a child. We have loved every minute of spending time and bonding with our niece, younger cousins, and our friend’s children over the years and we are elated to bring a child of our own into the family. Our future child will be the first grandchild on Taylor-Renee’s side, which is very exciting. On Kevin’s side, our future child has one very excited cousin, who is very ready for a playmate.

Our Pets
Our dog, Link, is about 10 years old and we rescued him in December 2021. He is a small dachshund mix. He loves to relax in the sun and just always be around us.
We also have 3 domestic rabbits that have their own room in our home.
Rosie and Reese are white rabbit siblings that we rescued in 2018. They will be 6 years old this Fall. They were babies when we fostered them through a local rescue and quickly became permanent members of our family. Ruby, our lop eared rabbit, is around 8 years old and is a silly and laid back girl. She loves begging for treats and to cuddle with us. We adopted her in May 2019.

About Kevin
Kevin is incredibly caring and is always making others laugh. He is quite the jokester and children love to be around him. It is probably because he is quite the big kid himself. Kevin has a passion for coaching bowling. It is a sport he grew up loving, spent years doing it professionally, and has spent recent years teaching the sport to children at our local bowling alley. He also enjoys outdoor go-kart racing on the weekends, which was a hobby he also enjoyed as a child with his family. It is a very family orientated sport that we hope to share with our future child.

About Taylor-Renee
Taylor-Renee is a natural caregiver in every way. She has such a big heart and has always dreamed of being a mother. She always puts family and loved ones first. Taylor-Renee is always making people smile and her laugh is contagious. Taylor-Renee studied Social work & Sociology in college and every job she has had involved working with children. She also has a passion for helping animals of any kind. She rarely says no to any animal in need, whether it be reuniting a lost dog with its family, getting an injured bird medical help or bottle feeding an abandoned rabbit. She has as strong belief of “Always help those who can not help themselves” and hopes to pass that on to our future child.
