Tracked down by her biological daughter, 37-year-old Deanna Micoley has accused Rosie O’Donnell of “stealing” her daughter. Claiming she was in no condition to sign away her parental rights because she was “on drugs” at the time, she has been hoping for 17 years to be reunited with her daughter, whom she named Kayla.
After the adoption was finalized, Rosie renamed her daughter Chelsea. Micoley didn’t know that Rosie O’Donnell was Chelsea’s adoptive mother until Chelsea tracked her down. Rosie encouraged Micoley to have a relationship with her daughter, Chelsea, but it turned hurtful not long into the new-found relationship. Micoley claims she is not seeking any monetary compensation from O’Donnell, but just wants her daughter back.
