With three biological children and three adopted children, Joel and Rabecca Wachter are hoping to meet up with and bring home Judah, from China. The family has a love for children overseas. Judah will be child number seven.
Judah has a genetic disorder of the blood. Because his condition is so sever, he relies on regular blood transfusions. Judah would get better medical care in the United States, and so the Wachters are working to expedite the adoption.
The Wachters are some of a growing number of hopeful adoptive parents who raise adoption money for children overseas through crowdfunding. They hope to raise their remaining $15,000 through this method in order to bring Judah home in the next couple of weeks.
