A Wisconsin woman saw a need for children in foster care, and then acted. Tammy Wood-Garr turned her basement into a clothing and game donation center over a year ago. Known as The Foster Closet, the organization gathers then donates gently used clothing, games and more to foster children. The Foster Closet quickly outgrew the garage space, so Tammy opened shop downtown.

The community came together to help this happen, but with unfinished projects that need help being paid for, they are now threatening closure. The Foster Closet hopes that the community will continue to come to their aid, thereby helping the many foster children in need.
