With Mother Teresa as her inspiration, Parisian Cecile Pelous, left her comfortable life as a designer and traveled across the world. Seeing the poverty, the sickness, the hardship of orphans, Cecile decided to sell her home and build an orphanage. It took 10 years to build. But she knows her orphans by name and has kept up with what’s going on in their lives. Each time she returns to Nepal, she tries to see “her” 79 children. “There is so much to do,” Cecile shares. “I want to make people happy.” She adds, “I never thought I could do this because I am really just an ordinary person trying to do something extraordinary.” But her experience with her 79 orphans has not only transformed them, but transformed her as well.
