Every year many young adults age out of the foster care system throughout the United States. In Pennsylvania alone, more than 1,000 children leave foster care without having a loving forever family. Having aged out of the foster care system in Lancaster County, Michelle Nauman-Brown knows how very scary that can be. Michelle became a single mother at age 19 and lived out of her car with two children. Now, happily married, Michelle is reaching out to help other foster children. She invites them to keep hope alive and to keep striving. Michelle is an advocate for Family Design Resources – an organization to help foster children. Now, at age 25, Michelle is excited about her upcoming adoption.
