Once the choice is made to place rather than parent, there is still a choice to be made:  independent adoption with a private attorney or agency adoption.

Even when that choice is made, there is much more research to be done.

Visiting with social workers from a variety of agencies to see which agency best fits your ideology is essential.

Independent adoption may be the best choice. In that case, visit with a variety of attorneys to find the one who will best represent you is the work to be done.

There will be choices to be made about the degree of openness you’ll want in the adoption of your child.

It is important to find the individuals or agency you are most comfortable with. If there is a lack of trust or discomfort, continue to search! The right situation exists and you will find it.
