In partnership with the Department of Children and Families, Family First Network is welcoming applicants to provide foster homes as well as adoptive homes.
To bring extra attention to the need in Florida for foster homes and for adoptive homes, November 22nd (National Adoption Day) a 5k fun run will be held. Proceeds from the event will go to the Family First Network, helping to fund adoptions and provide loving foster homes for children. In particular need of homes are teenagers and sibling groups.
There are currently about 40 children in the Family First Network system waiting for adoption. More information about the fun run is available at Footprints5kRun-Walk.kintera.org.
