Hank’s Adoption Announcement — Adoption and Albinism

Have You Seen This?

Denalee Chapman February 18, 2015

Set to Creed’s “With Arms Wide Open,” this touching adoption announcement introduces the viewer to Hank.

Hank was born in China and has albinism. Albinism is an inherited condition that alters genes in such a way that the individual lacks any pigmentation. Pigment free eyes, skin, and hair means living with more care to avoid sun and to correct vision as much as possible. The degree of physical impairment in albinism varies. More can be read about albinism here.

Hank’s wonderful family is obviously as thrilled to have him as he is to have them. And they would tell you first:  Adoption is love.
