A 15-year-old girl remains in a medically-induced coma after having been severely beaten while in foster care. With her head and face completely swollen and a shoe print scar on her face, there are still hopes for a complete recovery. The youth was placed in a hotel for foster care. She had been beaten by three other girls also in care before the assault that caused severe enough injuries to land her in the hospital.
Family of the girl are grieving and expecting changes now from CFS in Manitoba so something like this never happens again.
