The Children’s Service Center (CSC) is hosting an adoption matching event on Friday, November 7th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Representatives from the Pennsylvania Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network will be on site to answer questions about foster care and adoption in Pennsylvania. This is a great opportunity to learn about the processes and requirements for being a foster family and for adopting within the state.
Flyers about Pennsylvania children hoping to be adopted in the system will be displayed at the event, which will be held at the Children’s Service Center on the Wilkes-Barre campus (335 South Franklin Street). Representatives from a variety of adoption agencies will also be at the matching event.
The Pennsylvania Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network would like those considering adoption to know that costs on adopting within the state system are much lower than infant and international adoption. For more information about the event, please contact Rebecca Nallon at 570-825-6425.
