Siblings Ulrich and Vivica were born in November 2001 and June 2003. They are kind, smart teenagers who share a close emotional bond.
Ulrich has good focus, memory, and reasoning skills and does well in school where he shows a particular interest in natural disciplines. An emotionally stable boy, Ulrich respects authority, follows the rules, and interacts well with peers and adults alike. Despite a difficult past he is able to differentiate between good and bad. Ulrich enjoys sports and computer games, especially those that improve cognitive and mental abilities. He has a history of tuberculosis of the lymph nodes which was successfully treated in 2009.
Cheerful Vivica shows above average memorization and analytical skills and a good attention span. She is social and well-intentioned, readily engages with peers and adults, and has many friends at her orphanage and at school. Vivica is an emotional teen who craves praise and admiration from others. She likes to read books, jump rope, and spend time with friends.
Ulrich has ambivalent feelings about adoption which stem largely from lack of understanding of the process. His care team at the orphanage is working to better educate him. They feel that Ulrich and Vivica would benefit immensely from being adopted abroad together.
