Aliah Age: 12 My favorite things: I like listening to music. I enjoy reading. I like hanging out with friends. I watch scary movies. I enjoy sports like soccer, swimming, and cheerleading. Things I do not like: People making fun of me. I don’t like when people ignore me or my feelings. I don’t like certain fruit like peaches, plums, and pineapples. Favorite foods: I love pizza, garlic bread, and spaghetti! Pretty much like Italian foods. I also like chicken cutlets. What I want in a family: I want people who are nice to me. I want a family that understand what I am going through. I want them to listen to me and I also want advice from them. What I want families to know about me: I want them to know that I like to be active. I like to laugh with my friends. I like to sing and dance. I want to be a cheerleader. I want to be supported. I want them to understand my past and help me with my future. I want to stay connected to some of my biological family. What we want families to know about the youth: Aliah has been through a lot in her short years. A family that understands childhood trauma is best. She loves her biological family fiercely. A single female parent with no kids would be best. However, a two-parent home is fine as long as they understand her issues.
