Rachel from Virginia

Rachel, born in 2010, is an athletic young girl who likes to play softball, basketball, and volleyball. She enjoys being active and does not like to have much idle time. Rachel also spending time with her friends - like most teenaged girls. Her favorite colors are pink and black. Rachel likes play dress up and with makeup. She likes animals and her favorite pet to have would be a dog. Rachel is very creative and likes to decorate and organize. She expressed that her favorite chips are salt and vinegar; she also likes seaweed. Rachel would thrive in a two-parent household. Her ideal family would include small children and pets. It is important to Rachel that she remain in contact with her birth mother. Rachel is most looking forward to having a place to call home where her family would love and support her unconditionally. In our effort to limit the digital footprint of our children and youth, Virginia has elected to only provide photos to inquiring families. (A digital footprint could be described as a trail left behind when someone uses the internet (e.g. websites visited, social media accounts, photos, etc.). The state wants to be cautious as to who can see and potentially have access to youth’s info.
