- Case #79554
Kylan is a very sweet little boy. He is very affectionate and he is constantly happy, despite all of the obstacles he has overcome at such a young age. Kylan loves being around people and he warms up to strangers easily. Kylan is diagnosed with Down Syndrome. He is now able to sit alone and stand with assistance, but is not able to walk. He has very poor eyesight and will first use his hands to touch his caregivers' faces when he is picked up. When he recognizes who is holding him, Kylan will smile and laugh. He also loves to play with his toys. Kylan has a history of seizures; however he was recently placed on a new diet that has dramatically reduced his occurrence of seizures. Kylan is fed through a feeding tube. His resilience and constant joy in learning about the world around him has caused everybody who comes in contact with Kylan to fall in love with him immediately.
Kylan needs a family that is well organized, structured, patient, and loving. The ideal parents will have experience and knowledge in caring for a child with medical needs. The family will need to be aware that Kylan may require this care into adulthood.
