If you’re someone who loves the outdoors, Val is an amazing teen who would fit right in with your family! This resilient young man is a bit of an old soul and relates really well with the adults in his life. Though he can be a little quiet at first, once he gets to know you a bit, you’ll see what a wonderful personality and sense of humor he has. Val’s foster mom for the past year describes him as a great kid who is so much fun to spend time with! Val has a huge passion for all things outdoors. He would literally fish for days if given the opportunity and loves to tell the story of the 26”/6lb trout he caught! With his recent completion of Hunter Safety under his belt, he can’t wait to try his hand at bow-hunting as soon as possible. Football, baseball, and wrestling are a few of Val’s other favorite past-times. He’s played on school and community teams in the past and hopes that his Forever Family will encourage and support him to continue to be involved in sports in the future. Val is a really well-rounded youth who has a wide range of other hobbies and likes as well, including heavy metal music; working on cars; science experiments; reading war history books; travelling (hopefully to Alaska sometime soon!); and most of all…his piercings and his “sweet” mullet!! Though Val is both Native American and Hispanic, he tells us that he is open to becoming part of a family who is not and is ok with really any type of family make-up. He wouldn’t mind being an only child but is also good with having siblings in the home if they are either older or younger than him, but probably not siblings the same age. Val would like fun, active caregivers who love adventures and have time to spend with him. The ideal family for Val will reside in the Idaho Falls area, however Val and his Permanency Team are open to hearing from folks who live elsewhere, if they share in his interests and believe that they may be a great match for him. This deserving teen is simply searching for a place to call “home” and a family who will commit to loving him for a lifetime. Could you be the right family for Val? Inquire today!
