What Good is Money in the Bank if You Don’t Have Your Family?

Doug and Deanne Walker have 19 children, 10 of whom are adopted. These loving parents have been up and down and all around adoption and seem to me to be an endless bucket of adoption knowledge and wisdom. On top of that, the Walkers are welcoming, inviting, and friendly! The time came when Deanne Walker promised her husband, Doug, that she would stop asking for him to consider adopting another child. Intent on keeping that promise, even when the opportunity came, she backed off, knowing that Doug would have to be the one to know this was right. Of course, one of Doug’s concerns was cost. Adoption is not cheap! But he came to the realization that creating your family trumps any amount of money you could have.
